Ratna Sagar Group organized English Communicative Workshop headed by…………….. More than 26 Schools were invited for the Workshop which included Chaman Vatika, Lord Mahavir Jain Public School, P.K.R Jain Vatika and Air Force School etc.
The aim of the Workshop was to introduce more innovative methods to teach foreign language to the students, how to enhance vocabulary of the students and how to improve the communication skills of the students. English department of the school including teachers from Primary School were part of the Workshop. The Workshop began at 09.00 am and concluded at 03.00 pm with a learning experience to carry home.
Students from Classes IX-XII participated in the Gandhi Jayanti celebration to mark the birth anniversary of the Father of Nation. A Cleanliness Campaign was carried out in which students and teachers clean the School and the surrounding areas of the Campus. The practice encouraged and educated the students and the people in common to keep their surroundings clean as one step towards Clean India will lead to a Cleaner India.
Students from Classes VI-XI marked on their six days trip to Gangtok and Darjeeling on 5th of October. The trip was headed by Sister Alice and three teachers from the School-Ms. Anu Jain, Ms. Ranjana and Ms. Rachna Jyoti. The group boarded their flight from Delhi to Bagdogra and from there they reached Gangtok. The students stayed at R.J.Resorts and got the best view of the nature from their rooms. The sumptuous food and visit to major attraction of the city was the star of the trip.
The group was captivated by the immense expanse of nature in the valley. The Himalayan Zoological Park welcomed the group with Red Panda and varied species. The Japanese Temple, Peace Pagoda and the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute completed the trip. Six days just flew by without anyone realizing that it was the time to move. Last but not the least the group picked up a lot of fresh tea bags directly from Tea Gardens of Darjeeling.
Students from Classes IV and V set on their journey to Jaipur with their teachers- Ms. Hema Dhawan, Ms. Mamta and Ms. Nirupama on 10th October. They boarded the Chandigarh-Ajmer Garib Rath and the train journey was no less than an adventure. The greenery and cleanliness of Jaipur captures the attention of the group. Visit to amer Fort was quite informative as students were given knowledge about the days of Kings. The jeep ride, Camel ride was enjoyed a lot by the students. The group also went to Handmade Paper Factory, Blue Pottery Factory where they picked the best of things.
Visit to City Palace Museum, Birls Temple and Chokhi Dhani were the star attractions as students brought back with them memories of a wonderful trip which will last forever.
School ground witnessed splash of colours in the Inter-House Rangoli competition where students from all the houses made beautiful rangolis on the theme ‘Wings of Imagination’ under the supervision of Ms. Anu Jain, Ms. Sunita Shivhare and Ms. Vijata Malhotra. Students were permitted to use anything out of their imagination. Results are as follows:

With the spirits soaring high, the school staff amd students from Classes VI-XII assembled in the school grounds for the Cross Country race which was flagged off by Sister Alice at 06:00 am on 27th October.
The enthusiasm and the sporty zeal of the juniors and the seniors were worth watching. Students enjoyed the fresh breeze and blooming flowers on their way along with their competitive zeal. THE MUCH AWAITED Sports Day was held on 03rd November in the School grounds with much zeal and gusto. The occasion began with the welcome of the Chief Guest of the day Col. Chitra Banerjee, other dignitaries and the parents. The sports Captain and the school students took the oath of loyalty towards the game and life. The oath ceremony was administered by the Chief Guest and Sister Alice.
The well ordered House Wise March Past competition captured the attention of the gathering. The drills performed by the students from Classes 3 to 11 left the audience spellbound. This year Cock House trophy was bagged by Charity house. The day concluded on a happy note.
Navdeep Gill and Blesy Anne Cherian participated in District Level Essay Writing Competition conducted by Haryana Government on 16 November 2018 at Sohan Lal D.A.V.Girls School, Ambala City.
Navdeep Gill grabbed first position out of 115 participants from different schools and qualified for State Level.
The topic of the Competition was ‘Environmental Pollution’.
With immense zeal and alacrity, the young mathematicians of CJM showcased their knowledge about numbers on the School Annual Mathematics Exhibition. Students from Classes VI to IX took part in the exhibition and made projects on the topics ranging from ‘Algebra to Geometry’.
Each class displayed an array of ingenious models and colourful charts. This exhibition not only helped the students understand the concepts of Mathematics better but also taught them the value of Time Management and Critical Thinking. The exhibition was a great success and the role of teachers and their incredible ideas helped the students to come up to expectations of the school.
The Sports Carnival of Junior School was observed on 24th November 2018. Dr. Sunil Chauhan from the Civil Hospital graced the occasion as the Chief Guest of the Day.the programme commenced with releasing of balloons by the Chief Guest symbolizing the ‘Colours of Life’.
The Young girls from Classses LKG to II took the oath to express their loyalty to the rules of the game.
The fairies of LKG took the audience to the Fairy Land with their drill named ‘Fairies’. The ‘Pom-Pom Drill ‘of UKG caught everyone’s attraction. The young girls from Class I marched with military precision and perfect synchronization. Students of Class II presented the sound of music with their tambourines and made their parents proud with their exceptional performance. The Chief Guest in his address congratulated the winners of different races and wished them good luck for their future.
Priyanka Walia and Anandita Kochhar from our school participated in Haryana Zonal INTACH Heritage Quiz on 26th November 2018. It was held at Strawberry Fields School, Chandigarh.
Our School team bagged first position out of 102 participants from all over Haryana and has qualified for the National Round (Final) to be held at Delhi on 15th December 2018.
Ram Lakhan Bhaiya , a loyal worker of the school left for his heavenly journey on 20th August after rendereing 39 years of tireless service to the School. His sudden demise came as a shock to the School Community.
May his soul rest in peace.
Provincial Sister Roosley Joseph and Sister Jyotsna graced the School with their gracious presence. They were given a convivial welcome to the School with bouquet and a special Assembly on the theme, ‘World Peace’. Provincial Sr. Roosley addresses the girls to carry the light of Saint Claudine forward in this world of unrest.
Devanshi Rishi and Niyati Dhiman from our school participated in the Inter-school Debate conducted by Riverside DAV Public School . The girls made their presence felt by grabbing second and fourth Best Speakers Trophy. The event was attended by 20 schools from in and around Ambala.
The solemn occasion of the Independence Day was celebrated with great patriotic spirit through a special programme put up by the students of classes XI & XII.
Lt. Col. Aditya Srivastava was invited as the Chief Guest of the day. He was all in praise for the young squad of CJM and lauded their efforts for putting up such a splendid show.
Senior and Junior Council for the session 2018-19 were installed by the Principal. The Council pledged to server the school to the best of their abilities . Parents Community was also invited to witness the proud moments in their children’s life.
Ashni Walia a passout of Class XII session 2017-18 was honoured with the Best Student of the Year Trophy.
Anandita Kochhar and Priyanka Walia from our school bagged Ist position and qualified for National Level Quiz in the Intach India Heritage Quiz held in Army Public School.
The third position in the quiz was also bagged by our school out of 17 shcools which represented themselves for the quiz.
Ananya Kochhar and Aditi Gard bagged the Third Position.
Students from Classes IX & X participated in the ‘Tree Plantation Drive’ – a regular feature of the school curriculum. Saplings of ‘Ashoka Tree’ were planted on the outer boundaries of the school.
The school basement echoed with the sounds of some wonderful recitations done by the students of classes IX & X. The event was conducted on solo and group level. The rhythm, intonation and delivery of verses impressed all.

Poster Making Competition was conducted for students from classes III to XII to explore the artists and sketches. Each group was given a theme to express their ideas through water colors, sketches and caryons.
The senior school Inter house debate competition was conducted for the students of Classes XI and XII. Thought – provoking ideas were exchanged by the participants, much to the delight of the audience.

The school celebrated Helper’s day with a lot of enthusiasm. The warm welcome by tiny tots brought smiles to all present for the event. A short prayer service was done for the well being of our helpers followed by a cultural program. The principal acknowledged the services rendered by our dear helpers.
